The Unicorn's Ride

Over your rainbow
A unicorn flew,
He was sent to find me...
He said by you.
"Climb aboard", he whispered,
"We must go for a ride..."
And into a portal of light
We rode inside.
The sky was so blue,
The fields so green,
With each explosion of light
Was a wonderful scene.
So happy we seem
And always together,
There was no end to your dream,
It just went on forever.
Then the unicorn said
"I have one more surprise..."
So we took off quickly
And pierced the sky.
Then I saw you sleeping
And dreaming in your bed...
I caressed your hair gently
And kissed you on your head.
The unicorn interrupted. ..
"I must now get you home,
But now that you've seen her dream,
May you never feel alone."
My heart is feeling heavy,
A fire burns inside.
Thank you so much my darling
For the unicorn's ride.
Somewhere... Somewhere in time's Own Space
There must be some sweet pastured place
Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow
Some Paradise where horses go,
For by the love that guides my pen
I know great horses live again.
~ Stanley Harrison
Hold on to faith; it is the source of believing
that all things are possible. It is the fiber
and strength of a confident soul.
Hold on to hope; it banishes doubt and enables
attitudes to be positive and cheerful.
Hold on to trust; it is at the core of fruitful
relationships that are secure and content.
Hold on to love; it is life's greatest gift of all,
for it shares, cares and gives meaning to life.
Hold on to family and friends; they are the most
important people in your life, and they make
the world a better place. They are your roots
and the beginnings that you grew from;
they are the vine that has grown through time
to nourish you, help you on your way,
and always remain close by.
Hold on to all that you are and all that you have
learned, for these things are what make you unique.
Don't ignore what you feel and what you believe
is right and important; your heart has a way
of speaking louder than your mind.
Hold on to your dreams; achieve them diligently
and honestly. Never take the easy way or
surrender to deceit.
Remember others on your way,
and take time to care for their needs.
Enjoy the beauty around you.

Have the courage to see things differently and clearly.
Make the world a better place one day at a time,
and "HOLD ON" to the important things that give
meaning to your life.
There is a fable about the way birds first got their wings. The story goes that initially they were made without them. Then God made the wings, set them down before the wingless birds, and said to them, "Take up these burdens and carry them."

The birds had sweet voices for singing, and lovely feathers that glistened in the sunshine, but they could not soar in the air. When asked to pick up the burdens that lay at their feet, they hesitated at first. Yet soon they obeyed, picked up the wings with their beaks, and set them on their shoulders to carry them. For a short time the load seemed heavy and difficult to bear, but soon, as they continued to carry the burden and to fold the wings over their hearts, the wings grew attached to their little bodies. They quickly discovered how to use them and were lifted by the wings high into the air. The weights had become wings.

This is a parable for us. We are the wingless birds, and our duties and tasks are the wings God uses to lift us up and carry us heavenward. We look at our burdens and heavy loads, and try to run from them, but if we will carry them and tie them to our hearts, they will become wings. And on them we can then rise and soar toward God.

The heavy burdens when lifted cheerfully with love in our hearts will surely become a blessing to us. God intends for our tasks to be our helpers; to refuse to bend our shoulders to carry a load is to miss the new opportunity for growth. No matter how overwhelming, any burden God has lovingly placed with His own hands on our shoulders is a blessing.

You will treasure it even more when

you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend:
Lose one.
Every time you look at me a part of me dies
I know that there's someone else I can see it in your eyes
They always tell the truth even when you're telling lies
I know that you love someone else I can see it in your eyes

When I look into your eyes, there's someone I can see
you don't have to say it, but I know that it's not me.
There's a new little light, that shines in your eyes,
and I guess that's why you have been telling me those lies.
Don't lie to me anymore, just tell me who she is,
and tell me how she makes you hurt me like this.
I tried to make you happy and I did all I could,
but I guess she's been doing what you thought I should.
you been holding on to me but you didn't know what for,
the coldness in your touch says you don't love me anymore.

I never thought that our love would ever have to die,
Now all that's left is for me to say goodbye.
I'll dry my tears and hit the road headed somewhere I don't know,
all you have to do is say that you want me to go.

It's so hard to find
the right words to say
when somebody you care is
hurting...
More so, when you know
that you could be one of
the causes of the other person's
pain and anguish...
There just aren't enough words
to describe the feelings
I want to share,
I didn't mean to frighten you
with my intensity but I guess,
I did, I know what has happened
is inexcusable and it would be
too much to expect that
you would forgive me.
What scares me the most
is the thought that
you might want to give up or me...
Please don't...
I'm really very sorry.
Beyond the sea, beyond the sea,
My heart is gone, far,far from me;
And ever on its track will flee
My thoughts, my dreams, beyond the sea.

Beyond the sea, beyond the sea,
The swallow wanders fast and free:
Oh, happy bird! were I like thee,
I, too, would fly beyond the sea.

Beyond the sea, beyond the sea,
Are kindly hearts and social glee:
But here for me they may not be;
My heart is gone beyond the sea.

- Thomas Love Peacock

On Nov. 18, 1995, Itzhak Perlman, the violinist, came on stage to give a concert at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City.

If you have ever been to a Perlman concert, you know that getting on stage is no small achievement for him. He was stricken with polio as a child, and so he has braces on both legs and walks with the aid of two crutches. To see him walk across the stage one step at a time, painfully and slowly, is an awesome sight.

He walks painfully, yet majestically, until he reaches his chair. Then he sits down, slowly, puts his crutches on the floor, undoes the clasps on his legs, tucks one foot back and extends the other foot forward. Then he bends down and picks up the violin, puts it under his chin, nods to the conductor and proceeds to play.

By now, the audience is used to this ritual. They sit quietly while he makes his way across the stage to his chair. They
Remain reverently silent while he undoes the clasps on his legs. They wait until he is ready to play.

But this time, something went wrong. Just as he finished the first few bars, one of the strings on his violin broke. You
Could hear it snap - it went off like gunfire across the room. There was no mistaking what that sound meant. There was no mistaking what he had to do.

We figured that he would have to get up, put on the clasps again, pick up the crutches and limp his way off stage - to either find another violin or else find another string for this one. But he didn't. Instead, he waited a moment, closed his eyes and then signaled the conductor to begin again.

The orchestra began, and he played from where he had left off. And he played with such passion and such power and such purity as they had never heard before.

Of course, anyone knows that it is impossible to play a symphonic work with just three strings. I know that, and you know that, but that night Itzhak Perlman refused to know that.

You could see him modulating, changing, re-composing the piece in his head. At one point, it sounded like he was de-tuning the strings to get new sounds from them that they had never made before.

When he finished, there was an awesome silence in the room. And then people rose and cheered. There was an extraordinary outburst of applause from every corner of the auditorium. We were all on our feet, screaming and cheering, doing everything we could to show how much we appreciated what he had done.

He smiled, wiped the sweat from this brow, raised his bow to quiet us, and then he said - not boastfully, but in a quiet, pensive, reverent tone - "You know, sometimes it is the artist's task to find out how much music you can still make with what you have left."

What a powerful line that is. It has stayed in my mind ever since I heard it. And who knows? Perhaps that is the definition of life - not just for artists but for all of us.

Here is a man who has prepared all his life to make music on a violin of four strings, who, all of a sudden, in the middle of a concert, finds himself with only three strings; so he makes music with three strings, and the music he made that night with just three strings was more beautiful, more sacred, more memorable, than any that he had ever made before, when he had four strings.

So, perhaps our task in this shaky, fast-changing, bewildering world in which we live is to make music, at first with all that we have, and then, when that is no longer possible, to make music with what we have left.

Reminiscence

The Rhythm, the Emotion,
The Chanting, the Devotion,
The Ringing and Swinging bells,
The Sound of Drums, the Conches and the Shells,
The Fragrance of the Burning incense,
The Aura and the Diadem,
The Floral Decorations,
The Voices of Salutations,
The People in Prostration,
The Freshness in the Morning Prayer,
The Splash in the river,
The Eastern winds sending Shivers,
The Festivals and the Commotion,
The Entrenched images appears,
As I assimilate the nostalgic notions,

No other way to go,
Whenever I feel the hollow,
It's the path towards my temple, which I follow,
Once I am there everything follows,
There I get a glimpse of His magnificence,
Which acts as an antidote to sorrow,
Where doubts disappear and happiness follows.

I look back on these years
To see how far I've come and grown,
I take a trip down memory lane,
And what I see has shown ...

That every step I've taken,
You have been there by my side ...
From infancy to adulthood,
We've stood the test of time.

You cradled me and nurtured me,
Through all these many years;
You held me and did comfort me,
Through happiness and tears.

You'd pick me up when I would fall,
You'd dust me off and then,
Encourage me to get back on
That horse and ride again.

Your constant care and loving,
And your warm inviting heart,
Has always been a treasure that
I knew would n'er depart.

If I could be "just half" the person
You have been to me ...
Then you have taught me well dear mom,
For in my heart I see ...

A woman whose most gentle soul,
Embraces me each day ...
A woman whom I dearly love,
Much more than words can say.

Wind Beneath My Wings

It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, thats your way,
you always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name~for so long,
a beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that your my hero,
and everything I would like to be.
I can fly higher then an eagle,
'cause you are the Wind Beneath My Wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it,
I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that your my hero,
And everything I would like to be...
I can fly higher then an eagle,
'cause you are the Wind beneath my wings.

Fly, Fly, Fly away...
You let me Fly so high
Oh Fly, Fly
so high against the sky, so high I almost touch the sky..
Thank you..thank you....thank GOD for you

I believe-

Same goes for true love.

I believe-

that will give you heartache for life.

I believe-

to become the person I want to be.

I believe-

with loving words. It may be the last

I believe-

I believe-
that we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I believe-
that either you control your attitude
or it controls you.

I believe-
that regardless of how hot and

the passion fades and there had
better be something else to take

I believe-
that heroes are the people

I believe-
that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.

I believe-
that sometimes the people you expect
to kick you when you're down,
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe-
that sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me
the right to be cruel.

I believe-
that just because someone doesn't love
you the way you want them to doesn't
mean they don't love you with all they have.

I believe-
that maturity has more to do with
what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe-
that it isn't always enough to be
forgiven by others. Sometimes you
have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe-
that our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe-
that just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do.

I believe-
that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a
secret. It could change your life forever.

I believe-
that two people can look at the exact

I believe-
that your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe-

to give, when a friend cries out to you
you will find the strength to help.

Truth

© By Larry T. Rhyu

How and Why do we live in this world?
Because here is the truth.

We know the truth in many ways.
But we do not know it all,

Truth is simple but deeper than sea.
Truth is perfect but higher than heaven.

I am the truth, the way, the life.
Heavenly Father said himself.

Because all phenomena is true,
Truth is a permanent life, existence.

If something is not in truth,
It's wrong, fake, not perfect.

So, we follow the truth between the right
and wrong.

Always
Is there someone disappointed, want be

dead?
Seek, ask, knock and look for the truth.

You will enjoy the life forever.
Then, what is the most important truth

in our life ?
It is keeping promises between peoples.

Colors of a rainbow
That's what we paint for you
Each one a ray of sunshine
To help and get you through

Days seem long and lonely
But here we are to say
Our Angel sends a special gift
With colors sweet array

Rainbows here to warm you
To give you gentle peace
God Himself has made it glow
With love that will not cease

So if you're feeling lonely
Or you're feeling blue
Always please remember
These colors glow for you

To soothe the heart that's aching
To make it through the day
To let the sun shine on you
In a very special way

Each day a new beginning
With shadows in the past
You give us all a greater gift
With courage that will last

SMILE

AUTUMN

I have fallen somewhere in your life,
Did I trip, did I stumble or did I jump?
Does it matter as long as I am here?

I have fallen somewhere in your heart,
Through a crack in that armor you wear so well,
But does it really matter as long as I am here now?

I realize that my place here is precarious at best,
But I will do what I can to remain balanced,
For I don’t want to fall so far as can’t be seen.

And I’m no fool to not recognize that I have company here,
He sits so close I can smell the western horizon on him,
But is he your true reason here, or is it time for a past love to win?

I don’t have the common sense any longer to know if I should leave,
But patience is a virtue I know all too well, and she sits with me now.
I’m almost drowned out by him and his wily little ways,
But who here is begging for forgiveness, you or me?

It’s funny how I bleed and you never really see it.

connected

Just when I needed you most,
there you were.
I didn't have to say a word,
you just knew.
Just like you always do.
We're connected with a special bond.
For of you I am so very fond.
We're friends connected at the heart.
Nothing can succeed in tearing us apart.

LITTLE THINGS

Too often we don't realize
what we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong."
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things
to tear our lives apart.

www.kutefun.com

Far too many times we let
unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late
to see what made us blind.

www.kutefun.com

So be sure that you let people know
how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words
before your time is through.

www.kutefun.com

Be sure that you appreciate
everything you've got
And be thankful for the
little things in life
that mean a lot.
